Since we started supporting the Foodbank regularly Christ Church has donated a whopping 572.4kg of food and goods. That would have fed approximately the equivalent of 572 meals! Don't stop now.
How long will it take to double this figure? The need continues to be great. Stourbridge has had one of the greatest increases in the number of people unemployed during the past year.
Friday 13th of February
Christ Church sent 124Kg of supplies to the Stourbridge Food Bank.
Stourbridge Food Bank would like to say thank you for the items that have been donated since Wendy was here. They have a list of what they are actually short of.
These include: Noodles (cheap ones), Potatoes tinned and dried. Rice Pudding (tinned), Mild UHT, Fruit (tinned), Fruit Juice UHT, Pasta/Cooking Sauces, tinned/jars or sachets, Breakfast Cereals, Biscuits, Tinned Tomatoes, healthy snacks, raisins/cereal bars etc. Toothbrushes, tissues, Deodorant, Shampoo (small sizes), Nappies all sizes.
Even though the items mentioned are in short supply please don't forget all the other items that were on the shopping list, if everyone bought tomatoes then other items would be come short. Shop sensibly.
Anyone able to donate tinned and dried goods can call
